Paul Greenberger's practice concentrates on representation of commercial property and business owners in contract, leasehold, insurance, building, zoning and civil rights matters. Clients include both privately held and publicly traded companies, as well as multi-state shopping center/apartment owners.

Mr. Greenberger's Ohio Supreme Court experience includes a successful challenge to the manner in which the Ohio Ins. Guaranty Assn. pays claims of an insolvent insurer, Katz v. Ohio Ins. Guar. Ass'n, 103 Ohio St. 3d 4 (2004) (amicus brief urging contention adopted by the Court), Witt v. Ohio Ins. Guar. Ass'n, 103 Ohio St. 3d 557, 558 (2004), a determination of the applicability of the civil rules to the dispatch with which judges must dispose of forcible entry and detainer (eviction) actions, State ex rel GMS Mgt. Inc. vs. Callahan (1989), 45 Ohio St.3d 51, 543 N.E.2d 483, a determination that when a statute authorizes the awarding of attorney fees, it does so by allowing the fees to be taxed as costs rather than awarded as damages, Christe v. Gms Mgmt. Co., 88 Ohio St. 3d 376, 378 (2000), as well as obtaining a peremptory writ in an Original Action in Mandamus and Prohibition, case # 1988-1594, State ex rel Gms Mgt Co Inc v. Eugene M Fellmeth, Judge et al (peremptory writ allowed, 9/27/88).

Mr. Greenberger has also successfully challenged (through mandamus) on multiple occasions the illegal landmark designation of various structures. In addition, he has obtained favorable results in insurance litigation including coverage, bad faith, and attorneys fees issues. His litigation experience includes cases before both federal and state court, and administrative agencies, including civil rights, building and zoning issues.

Mr. Greenberger, a Chemical Engineer, began his career as a law clerk and then a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Organized Crime and Racketeering Section, Special Operations Unit, in Washington, D.C, and then the Cleveland Ohio Strike Force. He thereafter served as the Assistant Director Of Law and City Prosecutor for Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He was appointed and served two consecutive terms as a Commissioner on the Ohio Supreme Court Commission On The Unauthorized Practice Of Law, and has presented continuing legal education courses for lawyers for the Ohio and Bar Association and the Real Property Law Institute of the Columbus Ohio Bar Association, 1994.
